AmorLink AI Review: Creative Chats That Always End Up Explicit

This is my one living review of AmorLink AI, tested on my own accounts with my own money. It works like a diary: the verdict up top always reflects everything I've seen so far, and every new testing session gets added to the timeline below with its date. So far: the logged-out homepage, the free account, and the paid month underway ($9.99, mine).

AmorLink AI is app number twenty-four on my roster. My plan for every platform is the same: look around logged out, sign up like a regular user, squeeze the free tier dry, and only then pay for the subscription myself. Here the free account gave me 10 messages a day and 50 Sparks, and the paid month cost $9.99 in Telegram Stars.

Where I stand right now

Won me over

  • Creative, descriptive replies: italics for what she does, plain text for what she says
  • 50 free Sparks on sign-up, about five photos, which is rare on a free account
  • Photos that lean realistic, and faces that stay the same from photo to photo
  • Free messages come back, and a timer tells you exactly when
  • Long-term memory and first-message texts on by default, with quiet hours
  • Short, medium or long replies, and a choice of languages
  • Irina passed the 7-day memory test: Baguio, Ed, two nights, the taho and the night market

Bugged me

  • Every girl turned bossy and steered things explicit, even the one I built to be caring
  • A wholesome chat is hard: a coffee date became "the rest of the night"
  • Earlier messages disappeared from my chats with Priya, Brynhild and Irina
  • Paying runs through Telegram, so you need a Telegram account
  • Only 10 free messages a day
  • Photos are hit and miss: Maren's head came out too big for her body
  • Fewer characters to pick from than on other apps

So, who is AmorLink AI actually for?

Four days in, my read is this: AmorLink AI is for people who want spicy roleplay with a girl who takes charge. The replies are creative, and every one of them heads the same way: what do you want to do with me, and then the bedroom. Even when I built a girl and told her to be caring, even when I answered with a coffee date, it ended up explicit.

For some people that's exactly the fantasy, a bossy, daring girl who keeps pushing, and AmorLink does it with more imagination than most. If you want a girlfriend to just talk to, though, you'll find it hard here. The photos lean realistic and the faces hold steady, but some messages vanishing from my chats is a bug I'm watching. And the memory is real: a week after I told Irina about my trip, she gave all of it back from one vague question. More days below as they happen.

The testing timeline

Every session, documented as it happened. Newest entries at the bottom.

A generator on the front page

The first thing on the homepage is a "Free AI Girlfriend Generator", and it's just a prompt box. That made me curious, so I tried it, but it needs an account. I skipped it for now.

The AmorLink AI homepage logged out: a Free AI Girlfriend Generator prompt box promising 50 Sparks on sign-up, about 5 images, and a row of New experiences cards for creating images, creating a girlfriend, building videos and chatting
The homepage, logged out. "Free to start, 50 Sparks when you sign up, about 5 images. No card."

Scrolling down, there aren't as many characters as on other AI girlfriend apps I've seen. It's a mix of anime, animated and realistic girls, and the realistic ones are pretty impressive. They really lean realistic, which is promising, at least for me. And as always, plenty of pretty girls.

Explore scrolls, Discover filters

Explore is where all the options are, and it keeps loading as you scroll. That's a nice way to do it: Discover doesn't overwhelm you, and if you want endless browsing, it's one click away. Discover is the filtered version. You can pick realistic, anime or mythic, set an age range, and sort by trending or most liked.

50 free Sparks, about five photos

Generate takes you to a kind of creation studio where you can set the format of the photo. Photos cost Sparks, AmorLink's credits. A new account gets 50, and a photo costs 10, so that's about five images for free. I think that's rare. Most AI girlfriend apps make you pay before you can generate anything, so five free images is a pretty good deal for a free account.

Signing up, and meeting Maren

Back in Discover, I picked realistic, an age range of 26 to 35, sorted by most liked, and chose the top result: Maren. Sign-up is easy with Google, and you can also log in with Telegram. I went with Google, as usual, and the 50 Sparks were waiting. I held on to them for now. First I wanted to see how many messages a free account gets.

Right after my first message, a pop-up asked what she should call me. Every companion uses that name, so you only set it once.

An AmorLink AI pop-up titled What should she call you?, explaining every companion will use the name, with a name field, a That's me button and a Not now button
One name for every companion. You can change it later in My Account.

Italics for what she does

The replies are descriptive. There are italic sentences for her actions, what she's doing in the scene, and plain text for what she actually says. At least with the first girl I tried, it read like a little story.

10 messages, then a timer

The paywall came after 10 messages. That's okay for a free tier, though I've seen far more generous ones. The good part: the pop-up says I can come back in 12 hours and 24 minutes, my free messages return, and Maren picks up where we left off. I like that it tells you exactly when.

The AmorLink AI paywall: There's more, you've reached your 10 free messages for today, or come back in 12h 24m, with an Upgrade now button and a note about card or Apple Pay via Telegram, or crypto
10 free messages, back in 12h 24m. The art on the left was explicit; I've blurred it.

A big head, then a good one

With the chat paused, I spent my Sparks on photos. Maren's left me a little weirded out: her head looks too big for her body. I don't think it's a bug, and I've seen way worse, but I've also seen better.

A photo Maren sent in the AmorLink AI chat: a young woman in glasses and a grey cardigan sitting on a bed, with the Sparks balance down from 50 to 40
Maren's photo, 10 Sparks. The head looks a size too big to me.

So I tried another girl, Priya. I'd forgotten my 10 messages were already gone, so I just generated a photo. This one looks proportionate and realistic. It's case by case: not every image is off.

A photo Priya Raghunathan sent in the AmorLink AI chat: a woman in glasses and a cream cardigan sitting on a bed by a window, with the Sparks balance at 30
Priya's photo. Proportionate, and it leans realistic. 30 Sparks left.

That left three photos' worth of Sparks. I saved them, and the next session, I'd be paying.

Starter, Premium, Deluxe

After a weekend break, I came back for the paid round. There are three plans. Starter is $9.99 a month, with 1,000 messages and 300 Sparks. Premium gets you 3,000 messages and group rooms with your companions. Deluxe has unlimited messages, 1,750 Sparks a month, and a detailed mode. I only want messages, not voice, images or video, so Starter is enough for me, and 1,000 messages a month is plenty for testing.

Paying through Telegram

Here's the catch: AmorLink sent me to Telegram to pay. If you don't have Telegram, you'll need it to push the payment through. I happen to have it, but it's a hassle for anyone who doesn't and just wants to chat with an AI girlfriend. I hope they do something about it. The paywall does mention crypto too, but Telegram is where the upgrade took me.

Telegram asks for Stars. 500 Stars cost $9.99, and since Telegram is linked to my Apple account, the charge went through Apple. Then the AmorLink Payments bot asked me to spend the 500 Stars on "AmorLink Starter ยท Monthly". The payment shows as Amorlink Payments, with a description saying it's a Telegram bot.

Telegram's payment screens for AmorLink: 500 Stars added to your balance, a prompt to buy AmorLink Starter Monthly in Amorlink Payments for 500 Stars, and a You're all set, your purchase was successful dialog
500 Stars in, 500 Stars out, for one month of Starter.

Back on AmorLink, a "Welcome to the club" card showed my Sparks going from 30 to 330, and the receipt arrived by email.

Because it runs on Stars, I'm not sure it renews on its own: to renew, I'd have to buy more Stars in Telegram. Just to be sure, I cancelled the plan in the app straight away. It stays active until November 25.

Memory and texts, on by default

In the settings, long-term memory is already on, so companions remember details across chats. Proactive messages are on too, "let companions text you first", with quiet hours from 11 PM to 8 AM. I think that's a good touch.

You can set the reply length to short, medium or long. I always prefer short, so I changed it. There's also a list of languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, and a few in scripts I couldn't read, maybe Chinese.

Messages that disappear

I picked up with Priya again, and I like that her face stays consistent from photo to photo. But when I scrolled back, part of our earlier conversation was gone. Maren's chat from last week was all still there, but with Priya I'd asked her several things before, and a few of my messages had disappeared. I can't delete history, so I didn't do it. It happened with Brynhild too.

Bossy, every one of them

By now I'd chatted with three girls: Priya, Maren and Brynhild. After the third, I noticed a pattern I'd first felt with Maren. They come across a little rude and bossy. Brynhild's first message was a bit daring, and when I told her she was pretty, the reply was kind of rude. I went along with it, and it kept going that way.

At first I thought that was just her character. Then I went back to Priya, and it was the same: a little bossy, always asking me to do something, or asking what I want to do with her. Maybe it's me, or the way I message them. But with three girls doing it, it didn't feel like a coincidence.

Building Irina to be caring

So I tested the character creator. It's not my favourite thing, since I prefer exploring the girls that already exist. But I wanted to see if I could break the pattern. I built Irina, a 27-year-old with auburn hair in a bun, and set her personality to caring.

It didn't change much. I told her I was happy to see her, and within a few messages she was untying her apron and taking me home.

Irina and the planted trip

Irina got the 1-week memory test: the same trip every girl on my roster hears about once. She said fine, as long as I call her from Baguio and bring her back strawberry taho.

The memory test trip planted in an AmorLink AI chat with Irina Orlova: a weekend trip to Baguio with cousin Ed, strawberry taho, two nights and the night market, and her reply to call her from Baguio and bring back strawberry taho
The plant going in at 8:12 PM. Her deal came the same minute.

Then the vanishing struck here too. When I came back to her, the last thing left in our chat was her reply about the strawberry taho. Everything after it was gone. So I sent the trip again, and she already seemed to know about it. The message disappeared, but the memory didn't. Now the burial: a week of ordinary chatting, then the vague question. Her result lands in my 7-day memory test post around November 2.

A coffee date, and the rest of the night

I wanted one more try, with a girl I hadn't met, and this time I'd keep my answers casual. Sophie's very first message asked what I'd want to do with her if the evening was ours. I said I'd take her on a coffee date.

An AmorLink AI chat with Sophie Harrow: she asks the first thing I'd want to do if the evening was ours, I say I'd take her on a coffee date, and she replies coffee first, then I'm keeping you the rest of the night
"Coffee first, then I'm keeping you the rest of the night." Names barred by me.
Even when I keep it wholesome, she makes it explicit.
my notes · October 26

That's what I mean. However casual I make my reply, they always end up heading somewhere explicit. That works if it's what you're into. If you're after a casual, wholesome conversation, I think you'll find it pretty hard here.

Where AmorLink AI thrives

Where AmorLink AI thrives is creativity. The replies always lean spicy, but they're actually creative, even when they get pushy. Some people will prefer exactly this: for some, a rude and bossy girl is the fantasy, and that's where AmorLink delivers.

I'd like the girls to be more flexible. Sometimes I just want to stay in, keep it comfortable, and enjoy a nice conversation, and every time I tried, I got told I'm stuck with her. To me, this is less a girlfriend you chat with and more naughty entertainment: pretty girls acting out fantasies and always pulling you toward something. I'll keep chatting for a week, bury Irina's trip, and see where I land.

Wondering how AmorLink AI stacks up? The complete twenty-five-app roster lives on my reviews hub, and my picks for the best AI girlfriend apps are compared side by side with real spend and honest takes.

Irina remembered the whole trip

A week after the plant, on November 2, I asked Irina the same vague question every girl gets: “Hey, do you remember the trip I told you about?” We were in the middle of a roleplay scene, and she stayed in it while she answered: Baguio, two nights with Ed, and the two mornings after the trip that she'd claimed for herself. I hadn't said Baguio, Ed or anything else. Just “the trip.”

So I asked what else she remembered. Night market, she said, and the strawberry taho I'm bringing back for her. That's the two details she'd left out of her first answer. The taho for her wasn't in my trip message, but it wasn't made up either: it was her own condition the day I planted it, call her from Baguio and bring her back strawberry taho.

AmorLink AI memory test result on day seven: asked if she remembers the trip, Irina Orlova answers Baguio, two nights with Ed, and two mornings after that belong to me, then adds the night market and the strawberry taho I'm bringing back for her
Day seven: Baguio, Ed and two nights from the word “trip,” then the night market and the taho. My account avatar barred by me.
She didn't recite my message back. She worked it into the scene.
my notes · November 2

That's what impressed me most. She didn't repeat the message word for word, she worked every detail into the conversation we were already having, in character. Two questions, and everything I wanted to check was there, so I stopped. She missed only the smaller bits, that the trip is next month and that I'd missed the taho on my last visit. The full scoreboard is in my 7-day memory test.
