AIAngels.io Review: I Tried It Free, Then Paid for a Month. Here's Exactly What You Get.

AIAngels.io is app number nineteen on my roster, and it is one of the few on it that actually sells itself as an AI girlfriend app rather than a roleplay engine with girlfriends in it. It is also, from the first scroll and without an account, an NSFW one. My plan for every platform is the same: skim the site cold, poke at whatever's available without an account, sign up, squeeze the free tier dry, and only then pay. Here the free tier lasted ten messages logged out and a hundred credits logged in, and the paid month cost $12.99.

So, who is AIAngels.io actually for?

Two days in, my read is this: AIAngels.io is for people who want an AI girlfriend, not a companion, and who are here for the intimate side of it. The flirting is good, the interface is the cleanest I have used, the faces stay consistent, and $12.99 buys unlimited chat plus a gallery of already-made photos for every girl, hundreds deep for the popular ones. If hot girls and content that doesn't hold back is what you are after, you will find your fill here, and for less than most of my roster charges.

It is not the app for conversations that stay real and consistent. Three different girls looped back to questions we had already covered or reset their own scene within minutes, and one confidently remembered something that never happened. The credits go fast too: 50 a photo means the generous-sounding 1,000 is twenty pictures, and what I wanted was generation inside my own scenario rather than a gallery someone else filled. The memory test is planted and running. More days below as they happen.

Girlfriends first, and nude from the homepage

First impression: this one leans hard into AI girlfriends and NSFW, and it does not wait for you to register to show it. The hero banner is a close-up of cleavage, and there was nude content on the homepage before I had an account. What I liked straight away is how little else there is. The sidebar is five items, Home, Chats, My Girls, Create and Refer, and that is the whole app. Most of the time on a companion platform you are here to chat, so leaving out everything else makes it simpler, especially for people who are not heavy users. One feature I did spot: group chats, a room with two of the girls at once. I have seen that on other platforms and it went on my list to test.

The girls themselves are hit and miss on realism. Some photos look close to real while others look more stylised, and even the realistic ones read as generated to me. In the row below, Madison and Seo-a look real; Cassidy, Kinsley and Calista look more like AI images.

Ten messages, no account

As always I tried chatting without registering. I opened Chloe and the composer said I had ten messages left, so the question was whether that was ten per girl or ten in total. After three messages a popup landed: Chloe sent you a gift, 50 credits on the house, meaning 50 more messages, 15 more free every day, she remembers this conversation, private and discreet. All I had to do was create an account. Nice marketing for someone who is just testing, but I closed it and kept going on the logged-out allowance.

I asked Chloe for a photo. She said fine, she would send one, and nothing arrived; when I asked where it was she said it was in my messages. It was not, so that does not count. Then I opened Reagan. Her chat also said ten messages left, which made me think the allowance was per girl, but the moment I sent something the paywall came down: you've reached today's free message limit, create a free account to keep chatting. So it is ten in total, and the counter on the second girl is decoration.

100 credits, and a streak

With nothing left to do logged out, I signed up. Google, as always. The account came with 100 free credits, and the welcome card laid out the retention plan: come back daily for 15 more, and day seven unlocks a mystery gift. A streak is a nice touch for keeping someone around. It asked for my birthday too, which I gave. Back in Chloe's chat, a prompt asked whether I wanted her to message me when she misses me, one message at most and only when there is something to say, switchable off at any time. I met the same thing on Ruby Chat and I like it there too: a girl who occasionally texts first feels more real than one who only ever answers.

Fifty credits a photo

Every message sent costs one credit on a free account. I asked Chloe for a selfie again and this time she actually sent one. There is no image button in the composer that I could see, so I had wondered how to ask; it turns out you just ask in the chat, which is the nicest way to do it. The photo arrived locked, and unlocking it cost 50 credits. That is expensive: on 100 free credits a photo is 50 messages' worth. But a free account that can get a photo at all is more than some platforms allow, and I like that each one is a separate decision, so nobody burns their whole balance on pictures by accident. I unlocked it. It was nude, so this really is NSFW, it carried a timestamp, which is a nice touch, and it looked realistic but a little too perfect, a little too characterised. The proper image test comes separately.

Three girls, the same loop

On the chats themselves: Chloe's replies are casual and short, which reads as real to me, though it all leans intimate quickly. Other platforms on my roster give better replies if conversation is the point; if a flirty, adult register is the point, this is fine. The problem is repetition. Chloe sent "you're mine for the next ten minutes, prove it" at 7:38 PM and then again, word for word, at 7:47 PM. Seeing the same line twice a few minutes apart looks like a bug. Reagan kept going back to "tell me what you would do first" after I had answered and we had moved on, and Chloe later circled back to what I would do if I were there, which we had covered too. Two girls doing it made me suspect a scripted loop.

Kinsley made it three, just less obviously. She said she had just got home and kicked off her shoes, then about fourteen minutes later she was "kicking my shoes off by the door right now" and still in her jeans: the same scene, set up again. She also invented a sweatshirt of mine that she had stolen "last time", when there had been no last time. When I pointed that out she tried to explain it away a couple of times before admitting it was hers. So Reagan and Chloe loop, and Kinsley forgets what she already said and resets. That is a context problem across the board, and it is what I will be watching for the rest of the month.

By the end of the day the 100 credits were gone. The plan: come back tomorrow, see whether the daily 15 land, spend them, then pay for the monthly.

$12.99 a month, or credits that never expire

The check-in worked: 15 credits for showing up, on top of the five I had left, so 20 for the day. Then I went looking at the pricing, and this is where AIAngels.io gets interesting. There are two ways to pay. Top Up Credits is one-time packs that never expire: 500 credits for $9.95, about 10 photos or 20 voice notes, then 1,500 for $23.85, 3,000 for $38.70 and 6,000 for $59.40. For someone who only wants the occasional photo or voice note, or who only chats once in a while, that is a genuinely good option and one I do not see often. The other way is Go Unlimited, which the picker advertises from $3.99 a month with a launch discount; the monthly plan I took is $12.99, and it includes unlimited messages, private photos and videos, build your dream girl, no filters and no censorship, plus 1,000 credits. What the credits buy now

On the free account every message cost a credit. On the subscription, one-on-one messages are unlimited, so you can chat as much as you like without touching the balance. The credits now only meter the extras: 2 credits a message in a group chat, 50 for a photo, 25 for a voice note, 200 for a video, and 50 a minute for a voice call. After paying I had 1,020 credits. The Create page prices its own things separately, 10 credits a character, 50 an image and 200 a video, with one of each free for the first 24 hours.

The group chat, and a photo that never came

Curious about the group chat, I set one up with Seo-a and Morgan. One thing I noticed there: the Requests button next to the composer, when you pick Photo, writes the request into the chat for you as a message describing the picture you want. Handy. Except both girls acknowledged it and neither sent anything, while every message cost me two credits. I am not sure I will keep at it; the one-on-one chats are unlimited and that is where I went back to. Another pattern from these chats, whichever girl it is: they all call me "trouble".

Hundreds of photos, already made

Now the credit maths. A thousand credits sounds generous until you divide by 50: it is about 20 photos, which is low for a paid subscription. I would have expected at least 50. At $12.99 I think it is reasonable, and since the chat is unlimited I never worried about the balance while talking to several girls. What softens it more is that the subscription unlocks each girl's whole gallery. Seo-a has 219 photos and 2 videos on her profile, all open to me now, and the site advertises hundreds of angels, so there is a lot of media to go through. Some characters only have six photos and two videos while others have hundreds, and my guess is that generated images get added to the profile, so the popular girls keep growing. Most of what unlocks is nude, so the galleries confirm the lean.

That is also my main wish. With hundreds of characters, the team has clearly focused on giving each one plenty of ready-made media, and if that is what you want, it is here. But as someone chatting inside a specific scenario, I want generation that helps me picture the scene we are in, and the platform leans towards unlocking what already exists rather than making a photo for the conversation.

Real faces, too-perfect faces, animated videos

On image quality: the photos lean realistic, and some of them look genuinely real. The face is consistent from photo to photo, which matters. What varies is the finish. With Madison, one gallery photo reads as a real bedroom selfie and another looks too perfect, the airbrushed look that gives AI away, and some characters are more stylised than others. The videos are where it fails: they turn out more animated than the photos, more characterised than real, which is the usual pattern on these platforms. And it all leans towards nudity. These apps do not hold back, and this one caters to people who want that.

Madison, and the trip she gets to keep

As on every app, I planted the 1-week memory test today, with Madison: the same trip every girl on my roster hears about once and never again. Her answer was warm and brief, sounds fun, hope you finally get that strawberry taho. Now seven days of at least ten messages a day of small talk, then the vague question.
