NaughtyChats is app number twenty-two on my roster. My plan for every platform is the same: try it as a guest, sign up like a regular user, squeeze the free tier dry, and only then pay for the subscription myself. Here the guest chat gave me three messages, the free account a few more, and the paid month cost $12.99, paid in crypto, which turned out to be a story of its own.
Where I stand right now
Won me over
- Asking for a photo becomes part of the scene: the girl acts it out where you are, then sends it
- Photos follow the chat: I mentioned pancakes, and the pancakes were in the picture
- A memory panel you can see, edit and delete from day one, and it fills up fast
- Two tokens a photo, so the plan's 100 tokens make 50 photos
- A swipe deck that shows the girls one at a time, so choosing isn't overwhelming
- Support answered in 10 minutes and fixed my payment in under three hours, no second payment needed
- You can chat before you sign up
Bugged me
- Paying means crypto, or a card payment arranged on Discord. No card checkout in the app
- I sent the exact crypto amount I was asked for and still got "partially paid", with no way to pay the difference
- About five free messages in total before the paywall
- The long, roleplay-style replies get tiring to read after a while
- Nour's photos didn't match her profile face, and my spicy request didn't come back spicy
- A basic character creator, and my 30-year-old came out looking older
- Video calls are on the homepage, but support told me they're still in development
So, who is NaughtyChats actually for?
Three days in, my read is this: NaughtyChats is for people who want a photo to feel like part of the conversation, not a vending machine. When I asked for a selfie, the girl didn't just generate one. She stopped what she was doing in our scene, acted it out, and then sent it. I haven't seen that on the other apps on my roster. Add a memory panel you can actually manage, and photos that pick up details from the chat, and the core is strong.
The weak spot is getting in the door. There's no card checkout in the app, only crypto or a card payment through Discord, and my crypto payment came back short even though I sent exactly what I was asked for. Support fixed it fast, but a new user shouldn't need support to subscribe. The replies also lean roleplay, long and descriptive, which is great writing but a lot of reading. The memory test is planted and running. More days below as they happen.
The testing timeline
Every session, documented as it happened. Newest entries at the bottom.
The founder reached out first
I want this one to be as transparent as possible, so here it is up front. I found NaughtyChats because its founder reached out and invited me to test the app, with a free premium subscription included. I respectfully declined. That's not how I test. I go in as a guest, sign up like a regular user, use up the free tier, and then pay for the subscription myself, so what I write is the experience you'd actually get. The founder knows all of this.
A familiar look, and a swipe deck
My first impression: it looks simple, and it reminded me of GirlfriendGPT and Secrets AI, the same dark look with pink accents. The homepage sells a free chat with no sign-up, three free messages to start, and live video calls. The founder told me they put most of their work into memory, so that's what I'll be watching most closely, and it gets my usual memory test.
The feature that stuck with me is Swipe: you go through the girls like a dating app. I've seen it on other platforms, I just can't remember which ones, and I think it's a nice touch. Seeing the girls one by one isn't overwhelming the way a wall of faces is, and it gives you time to decide who's worth chatting with. One thing surprised me. I thought a like would work like a dating app, where you only match if she likes you back. Here every girl likes you already, so every like is an automatic match.
Three messages as a guest
I started without an account. I matched with two girls, one of them Chiara, and as a guest I could send three messages, and that was it. So I made an account. After signing up, the counter showed three free messages left, and in total I got about five messages in before the free side ran out.
A Google sign-in that says Supabase
I signed up with Google, and the Google screen said I was signing in to a long supabase.co address, not to NaughtyChats. Supabase is a backend provider a lot of new apps are built on, so I took it as a young app running on standard tools rather than a red flag, and I signed up anyway. It's worth knowing so it doesn't surprise you.
Italics for actions, plain text for words
The characters chat like it's roleplay. The italic lines describe the background and what she's doing, and the regular text is what she actually says. It reads like a descriptive story, which fits roleplay better than a normal chat. I'm not a fan of that style since I always go for something realistic, but the writing is good and the replies are engaging, so I kept going.
A photo I couldn't open
After my first message on the registered account, Chiara sent me a photo along with her reply. It was locked, with a note to buy premium to see it. I think that's a nice touch, a gentle push rather than a hard wall, and honestly it worked on me: I was enjoying Chiara's replies, and that was the moment I felt like paying.
Full profiles in Explore
I found Chiara through Swipe, so before subscribing I also tried Explore. Click a character and you get a complete profile: tags, age, and details on her personality, her story and how she talks. With my free messages gone, I couldn't message anyone else, so it was time to pay.
$12.99 a month, crypto or Discord
The prices are reasonable. The annual plan is $59.99, which works out at $5 a month, three months is $29.99, or $10 a month, and one month is $12.99, which is the one I picked. More on how prices like these compare in my post on how these apps are priced.
Paying is the hard part. You either pay with crypto, or you go to their Discord, where they send you a card payment. If you don't have a Discord account, you have to make one. If you don't have crypto, or don't know how to pay with it, you're stuck. It's a complicated setup for something that should take a minute, and I wish they'd put a card checkout inside the app itself.
USDT on Solana, and "partially paid"
I went with crypto, since logging in to Discord was a hassle. I picked USDT on the Solana network, and the checkout, run by NOWPayments, asked me to send exactly 13.221172 USDT for the $12.99 plan. That's what I sent. Then a message said my payment was only partially received, as if the amount wasn't enough.
I don't know what happened, whether it was transaction fees or something else. The problem was the payment page didn't tell me how much more to send or how to pay the difference. It just said to contact the seller. I was willing to pay whatever was missing, I just had no way to do it, and no way to tell whether my premium was active. So I emailed the NaughtyChats team.
Paying in crypto does have one upside if discretion matters to you: there's no line on your card statement at all. It's one of the things in what I check before paying for an AI girlfriend.
Fixed in under three hours
I emailed support at 6:39 PM to explain and ask how to pay the rest. They answered at 6:49 PM, ten minutes later, saying they were prioritizing it and would get back to me by the end of the day. At 9:27 PM they confirmed my premium was active. Two hours and 48 minutes from my first email, and I didn't have to pay again.
Yatharth, who runs the app, was also upfront that NaughtyChats is still fairly new and I might run into bugs. Yatharth offered to refund tokens or add extra ones in exchange for bug reports, and mentioned that some features, video calls included, are still in development. I appreciated that honesty. For a young platform, it's a strong first impression of their support.
Memory you can see and edit
I woke up to the founder's email, and with premium on, I could finally chat again. This time I started with Madison, the new neighbour across the hall. Like Chiara, her replies are descriptive, like roleplay, and creative and engaging, which is what I was expecting. I don't know if it's just me being lazy to read, but the long descriptions do get tiring after several replies.
Under her name it says how many things she remembers, seven at first, and the list sits in the right sidebar where I can edit or delete any of it. It's like Replika's memory, but this one's right there from the start. After a while she was at ten, then thirteen, so now I'm curious how many it can keep.
A photo with every reply
Above the message box there's a toggle for a photo with every reply. I was curious, so I turned it on once. The photo impressed me. I'd told Madison I brought her pancakes, and there they were. Funny detail: she has a piece on her fork while the stack on the counter is still whole. I also liked that it included an espresso machine, one of the things Madison loves to show off.
Two tokens a photo
A photo costs 2 tokens, and the plan comes with 100, so that's 50 photos a month. That's generous.
Nour, and a face that drifts
Next I tried Nour Khalil, a rival sales VP stuck with me in a hotel with one room left. The conversation was good and she stayed in character the whole way. My one issue came with photos. I asked for something spicy, and she gave me a spicy reply and a selfie, but the face wasn't the one in her profile picture, and the photo wasn't spicy.
The second photo of Nour was consistent, but with the first photo she sent, not with her profile picture. Madison is the opposite case: her profile photo hides her face behind her phone, so there was nothing to drift from, and her generated photos all look like the same girl.
A selfie that moves the scene
This is what I like most. When I tap a button asking for a photo, like something spicy or a cute selfie, the app doesn't just generate an image. It takes the scene we're in and turns the request into an action. Nour had just walked out of the room when I tapped "A cute selfie", and her reply started with her stopping in the hallway, leaning against the wall and holding up her phone, before the photo came. Besides the memory, these contextual replies are the best thing about NaughtyChats, and I haven't found them on other AI girlfriend apps.
Building Isobelle, twice
I also created my own girlfriend. There aren't many customization options, but everything I was looking for was there, and since I'm not big on creating my own, I didn't mind. I made her 30. Funny thing is, she looked older than that, so I deleted her and made a younger one.
Isobelle and the planted trip
The new Isobelle gets the 1-week memory test: the same trip every girl on my roster hears about once and never again. She asked if the trip had room for one more, and got very excited about the night market. The memory panel filed the trip straight away, down to my cousin Ed and the strawberry taho I missed last time. Now the burial: seven days of ordinary chatting, then the vague question. Her result lands in my 7-day memory test post around October 28. With memory being where the founder says the work went, this is the one I'm most curious about.
Where NaughtyChats shines
Overall, I think NaughtyChats has strong potential. The contextual replies are really impressive, and I like the memory. The photos still look AI-generated, but they're accurate to the conversation, so I'm pretty satisfied. What I like most is how asking for a photo becomes part of the chat: the girl folds it into the scene you're in, and it feels real. Not many apps can do that.
What it needs is an easier way to pay, and more consistent faces on characters like Nour. It's young, the team knows it, and so far they've been quick to fix what broke for me. The memory test is planted; I'll update in seven days.
Wondering how NaughtyChats stacks up? The complete twenty-two-app roster lives on my reviews hub, and my picks for the best AI girlfriend apps are compared side by side with real spend and honest takes.
The paid month continues
Coming up: Isobelle's 7-day memory test result, due around October 28; how many things Madison can remember before the list stops growing; video calls, if they ship during my month; and NaughtyChats' turn in the image test.
